My family Session/Creation fees are $100, Seniors $100, also.
Email me or call, I'd love to hear from you!
Want to know me, check out my pictures!
Truth be told, I am older than your average wedding or portrait photographer, but not yet over-the-hill. Dut don't let that put you off. Check my pictures here on the blog or on my website and see that I SHOOT YOUNG.
I appreciate all the stages of life and have experienced most of them, at my age, ya know. I love all the areas of photography that I create. Click on the darkened sentence at the end of each paragraph for samplings.
Children I love because their expressions are new, inventive and almost always surprising. Having 8 grandchildren, 9th on the way, ought to help, don't you think? Check it out!
Seniors are also inventive. The girls want to look beautiful and the guys, cool. I want that, too. Having fun, helping them relax and then just sitting back and clicking away. I always like to choose the location that suits their persona and the locations are varied. Check out this Senior.
Families have a tough time because there is usually a male in the mix. Men hate to have their picture taken and it is like pulling teeth to get them to the location. I get that. But let me tell you, it's all about relaxing and having fun with the whole experience. And that is my job. If your family is having fun, it's painless and the images will turn out great. I'm all about capturing the memories of the day. Make it memorable.
Now Weddings...I love the weddings. A bride all lit up and a groom that can't keep his off of his bride. It's magic! A couple in love always makes me and my photography look good. See!
I hope you can see that I love what I do and I would love for you to ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE with me. Call 480-510-9780 or email me today. janet@justmejanet.com
Sometimes I really worry about a shoot. I worry that I won’t capture the one shot the client is looking for. Because if there is ONLY one shot that is good, then the client will be happy. One shot is not always easy to get. Especially with that client. You know the one that hates having his picture taken. That was not the case for Alec. Evidence to follow.
My advice to anyone getting their photograph taken is to remember this…relax, just RELAX. Earlier this week I had a cortisone shot in my knee. (Feels better now, thank you.) Anyway, when the doctor was just about to put that HUGE needle in there he told me that tensing up the muscle would make it hurt and cause it not to be as affective. WHAT!!?? Have you seen those needles? I cringe to think about it. But I digress. OK, his advice to me is the same as my advice to you. RELAX and it will be far less painful. It also makes for a much, much, much better image of you–the client.
This was the case when I photographed Alec for his senior pictures last week. He, obviously, took my advice. I’m sure the guitar helped, too. And his good looks probably added to the images.
He graduates from Mesquite High next month and heads to BYU in the fall.
He’s going to do amazing things in this world. Someday, I’m pretty sure, I am going to be taking his advice. I wonder if I’m too old to learn to play the guitar.
When you really want to meet someone, it’s usually because you’ve heard so much about them. You heard what they do and what they look like and what they like to do. Your anticipation grows and grows–until you finally meet.
Well…I met Riley. I finally did. And I wasn’t disappointed. She was the doll I expected. I discovered that this well-nourished little babe was not camera shy. And why would she be, the camera loves her.
Her eye lashes were longer than my fake ones. Her dark , long hair was recently trimmed. The child is not yet 10 months and she’s already getting hair-cuts. I was tempted to steel the lash that fell to her cheek. Watch for in in the images that follow.
Picture a gorgeous girl, a handsome guy, a green spring desert, a private mountain–mix in a little romance…and you’ve got yourselves a photo shoot for the ages.
Bradley & Lisa had their wedding celebrated here in Arizona a week after being joined in Matrimony in San Diego. I was there to capture the festivities at the BBQ at the Van Vleet home. It was a beautiful spring evening, the best this desert has to offer.
Before it all began and before heading across the way to the mountain, we did a little dancing in the street.
These two, still happily married after 7 days, behaved themselves as I clicked away. Enjoy!

OK, folks, I know it’s only been a couple of days since a post but it feels like weeks. I have been busy, busy editing and creating and reading and visiting and a bunch of good stuff and some not so good for me. But enough of that.
It’s all joy because I am creating my 2011 Senior Campaign which I am really excited about. I will be announcing that in the next two weeks. Because it gets so hot here in the summer, I am planning some cool location shots plus some high-modeling sessions here in the studio. So look for that.
Since everyone likes a thoughtful images, I couldn’t leave you on a Thursday without a little photographic happiness and some advice. You pick the kind of day you’re going to have.
Monday’s have seldom been my favorite days. ’It’s time to start all over again.’ Notice if I were waking up on a half full day, I would have said, and I quote me, ‘I have an opportunity to begin again.’ I think my sour attitude has something to do with that stinkin’ heat on Saturday.
Just wanted you to know that I am working hard to find some cool venues for our photo sessions this summer. Melting people can and will be prevented.
I’d better get moving if I am going to keep my promise. Yes it’s time for the leather to hit the pavement.
These lovely legs and the boots they are in belong to the new Mrs. Bradley Van Vleet. Bradley gave them to Lisa as a wedding present. Welcome to the Southwest Deserts, Lisa. More from the Casa Grande BBQ/Open House for Brad & Lisa later in the week. Till then these adorable boots will have to do.
I met this man 40 years ago, to the day, that I took this picture. When I first laid eyes on him, I said to myself, “You are the cutest guy I’ve ever seen.” He’s still the cutest guy I’ve ever seen. Although this picture doesn’t really prove my point, it proves another. If you think I’m going to say, “It takes one to know one.” Or “An image speaks a thousand words.” I’m not. But what I am going to say is this. When you know someone, really know someone, like I’ve known the man in this picture for all these years… then an image like this is just endearing.
April 17, 2010 - 9:01 amAnnette - LOVE this shot! Perfect...
April 16, 2010 - 8:56 pmKaren - I love this one, it shows a hard worker. Not to mention the look on his face, I can imagine quite a few funny captions I could add. The funny thing about men, he is even more handsome then the day you met him.
April 16, 2010 - 4:57 pmHeidi - Haha, good call susan! I love it, love him!
April 16, 2010 - 1:36 pmHarmony - I love it! He still looks young to me, even with the hat and the scruff.
April 16, 2010 - 10:46 amSusan Munk - Reminds me of the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" Love the man.
