Want to know me, check out my pictures!

Truth be told, I am older than your average wedding or portrait photographer, but not yet over-the-hill.  Dut don't let that put you off.  Check my pictures here on the blog or on my website and see that I SHOOT YOUNG.

I appreciate all the stages of life and have experienced most of them, at my age, ya know.  I love all the areas of photography that I create. Click on the darkened sentence at the end of each paragraph for samplings.

Children I love because their expressions are new, inventive and  almost always surprising.  Having 8 grandchildren, 9th on the way, ought to help, don't you think? Check it out!

Seniors are also inventive.  The girls want to look beautiful and the guys, cool.  I want that, too. Having fun, helping them relax and then just sitting back and clicking away.  I always like to choose the location that suits their persona and the locations are varied.    Check out this Senior.

Families have a tough time because there is usually a male in the mix.  Men hate to have their picture taken and it is like pulling teeth to get them to the location.  I get that.  But let me tell you, it's all about relaxing and having fun with the whole experience.  And that is my job.  If your family is having fun, it's painless and the images will turn out great.  I'm all about capturing the memories of the day.  Make it memorable.

Now Weddings...I love the weddings.  A bride all lit up and a groom that can't keep his off of his bride.  It's magic!  A couple in love always makes me and my photography look good.  See!

I hope you can see that I love what I do and I would love for you to ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE with me.  Call 480-510-9780 or email me today. janet@justmejanet.com

Sweet Ivy

There is a little girl, far away, that I love to visit.  She is sweet and cute and full of life.  She speaks a language that I do not yet understand but I am working on it as is she.
And so I show you a few images of the last day of my visit when...

Gone Fishin’

I’ve flown the coop.  Missing in Action.  Vamoose.  I’m oughta’ here.  I’m taking a personal day, a sick day, a vacation day.  Janet speaking.  I am out of the office.  If you’d like to leave a message, I will get back to you asap. Blah blah, yada, yada.
I am in New Mexico for a couple...

At the Wedding*Brandon & Shanna Family

The day has finally arrived and  the nuptials are completed.   The happy couple have had their first family pictures taken, just the two of them, and are resting before the crowd arrives for the reception.  Now is the time to shift my gears.
It’s family picture time.  I like to ask my families to have...

Thanks, Dad!

If my father was anything, anything at all, he was a HUGE OLD MOVIE BUFF!  Granted, he probably did not call them old movies, they were just movies to him.  But, oh, how he loved watching movies. Old, (excuse that term, Dad,) musicals with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, adventures with Clark Gable and Olivia...

Love This Movie

I have a confession to make.  I saw a movie last year more than once, twice, thrice.  I saw a movie last year that made me really THINK.  This movie made me cry, laugh and wish.  It made me realize, re-commit and remember what it is I love to do.
Although, one may think it is...

What’s in a Name Like Buffy?

“What’s in a name?  That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet…”  Juliet spoke the words.  And I here testify that a name doth not a persona make.  Take the name, Buffy, for instance.  Not a name usually associated with strength..OK the Vampire Slayer was no whimp.  But she...
